Haryana cabinet minister Krishan Lal Panwar on Monday inspected the Amrit Sarovar pond of Dhangar village in Fatehabad. During this, he thoroughly reviewed the construction work done by the department and gave necessary guidelines to officials.
During the inspection, the Development and Panchayat Minister said this pond constructed under the Amrit Sarovar Scheme will play an important role in water conservation, increasing the groundwater level and maintaining natural beauty in the village. He said the state government is giving top priority to the development of rural areas and water conservation and the pond work is an important step in this direction.
The minister took detailed information from the concerned officials about the quality of construction works, water storage capacity and maintenance of the pond. He directed the officials to make special efforts to develop greenery around the pond, ensure cleanliness and make the villagers aware about water conservation. He said the state government is committed to effectively implement water conservation schemes and ponds are being constructed and revived in every district under the Amrit Sarovar Scheme.
